I have a long history as an in-office legal assistant/paralegal. Soon after I received my honors diploma in paralegal studies in 1993, I began my career working as legal secretary for a sole practitioner for a few years, then worked as a legal assistant in a large lawfirm and finally as both a legal assistant and then paralegal for a governmental legal department. I’ve worked in several areas of law including family, civil litigation, real estate, estate planning and probate work and tax law. While on maternity leave after the birth of my third child, I began the process of opening my virtual paralegal/legal assistance practice up for business and Halo Secretarial Services has been going strong ever since early fall in 2008.
On a personal note, I’m a mama to 3 wonderful boys, and I share my life with an amazing and and supportive husband. I love blogging so much that I keep a mama/running blog, in addition to my business blog, feel free to check it out here.
Outside of work and family I have many interests, including running, triathlon, reading, and even coaching soccer! I also am in university part-time, thanks to online learning with Athabasca University.
